The HYmini power plant will charge your cell phone, PDA or digital camera using only the greenest energy sources; wind and solar. The most innovative use of the wind charger is attaching to your body or backpack on the slopes to keep your MP3 player going all day. The wind generator only needs 9 mph winds to charge, and the solar charger of course can charge even in cloudy weather. Hand crank charger included as well – just in case the weather isn’t cooperating. $75 BUY

Looking for some peace and quiet in that home theater? Happen to have a massage room or yoga room in the home? You might be looking for this. The Cell Phone Signal Jammer simply blocks signals to cell phones within 30 feet. While we’ve heard of it being used on morning commute trains, libraries and restaurants – we presume private use is likely best. Blocks GSM signals 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz, but doesn’t block 3G – for that you’ll need this one which comes in a long range and short range model. Comes with battery adaptor, though unit is self contained. You can relax now. $166.

So your cell phone is great, but sometimes it’s nice to get back to the basics. Sparkfun’s Rotary Phone makes that incredibly easy. Slipping your SIM card into this phone will transform it into your phone. You dial out, you get incoming calls, all on your cell phone card – but with a real phone (without the whistles of the cell..but this does have bells that ring). It is even portable and runs for 4-5 days on a charge. So put this on your desk, or even on your center console in your car (we’d love to see someone talking on this in traffic) and put your cell away for a while. Get ahold of something more substantial, for only $199.95.
