chair.jpgThe Emeco Swivel and Tilt Office Chair was designed with Navy Engineers in the 1940′s and was used on Navy ships – sustaining salty air and taking hits without a scratch. Fortunate for us, it is still being made. Beyond containing fire-retardant foam padding (Navy engineers expected some incoming fire), it features thermal-treated brushed aluminum, and standard tension and height adjustment. Put this at your desk, if you’re looking for something a bit less austere than POTUS’s chair. $895.

Despite any misgivings you might have about the politics of those 8 U.S. Presidents who have used Gunlocke’s Oval Office Chair in it’s namesake, it is comfortable, professional and if you feel like declaring nuclear war from it, you’re probably not the first. Designed originally for John F. Kennedy, Gunlocke is still selling this one. A great history to your home office chair. $2,699.
