Ed Barber and Jay Osgerby have won more design awards than you can shake a stick at (if that means anything). Their firm designs modern long lasting items that are simple. We especially enjoy the Tab lamp they thought of. This one happens to be signed by Barber and Osgerby personally, but if you’re not into that you can just rub off the signature or pick one up here. Something for the home office. We like it. $450 BUY

The Alcatraz Floor Lamp just looks great. Like the Vintage Movie Lights we’ve featured before, we’ve got a soft spot for this look. Put it next to your desk, put it in the corner of your dining room. Put it in the bathroom. The Bachelor Pad will shine. The shade comes in silver or black and the bulbs are actually easy to find. In fact you can grab a new 250 watt bulb here. And put a dimmer on the thing. Very cool and literally thousands of dollars cheaper than all the others we’ve seen. $320 BUY (Via BLTD)

The Perno Floor Lamp has become a hot item at Williams Sonoma Home. It’s adjustable 15″ in height to place light exactly where you need it. Linen drum shade with white diffuser and polished nickel finish. Most importantly, you save $263 by getting the exact same thing via CSN Lighting through Amazon. While we’re all about great looking and functional furniture, home tech and art – saving $263 is never bad. BUY (the better deal)

Add art, and functionality to your living room with a vintage movie light. Repoductions have recently become more popular, but this is the real thing, and re-wired for actual use (probably want to downscale any bulb that exceeds a few hundred watts, unless you plan on opening a casting call in your living room soon). A great addition, with an equally great backstory. $2,100 from Sonrisa. BUY
