desklampEd Barber and Jay Osgerby have won more design awards than you can shake a stick at (if that means anything).  Their firm designs modern long lasting items that are simple.  We especially enjoy the Tab lamp they thought of.   This one happens to be signed by Barber and Osgerby personally, but if you’re not into that you can just rub off the signature or pick one up here. Something for the home office.  We like it.  $450 BUY

chair.jpgThe Emeco Swivel and Tilt Office Chair was designed with Navy Engineers in the 1940’s and was used on Navy ships – sustaining salty air and taking hits without a scratch. Fortunate for us, it is still being made. Beyond containing fire-retardant foam padding (Navy engineers expected some incoming fire), it features thermal-treated brushed aluminum, and standard tension and height adjustment. Put this at your desk, if you’re looking for something a bit less austere than POTUS’s chair. $895.

We can’t resist this 1950’s desk lamp. Updates for halogen bulbs, and customizable – this lamp ranges in height as well between 13″ and 21.5″. Built by Sonrisa, artisan refinishers of classic office and home furniture, we think this is a great addition to the desk. Simple, effective, great lines. $195
